She shines above, so luminescent

never contemplating being pleasant,

but rather simply present.

No stars out tonight, she shines alone.

Bold, bright, vibrant, she fears not any unknown.

To her, nothing goes unnoticed; it is always shown.

She shines radiantly, enveloped in stillness.

Since the night is her witness,

she offers all under her shadows forgiveness.

And by morning, when he begins to rise,

she puts on her disguise,

melting away into the skies.

But she does not fear, for she knows the earth will turn,

and after he has finished his burn,

she will return.
